Mary Ravenel Lewis Bissell

Mary Ravenel Lewis Bissell, 68, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of C. Harrington Bissell entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 7, 2013. Her funeral services will be held in St. Philip's Church, 142 Church Street, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Mary was born November 8, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of B. Owen Ravenel, MD and Vernice Martin Ravenel. She was a graduate of Ashley Hall School and attended the University of South Carolina. Mary was a member of St. Philip's Church and also retired as Secretary from the church. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Fulton D. Lewis III (S. Neal Rhoney) of Atlanta, GA and William Bee Ravenel Lewis of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, Dr. B. Owen Ravenel, Jr. (Ginny) of Charleston, SC and step sister, Marguerite Strickland Dulik of Sheridan, OR.
