Mary E. Alge, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of William L. (Bill) Alge, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 24, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel.

Mary was born August 31, 1939 in Hampstead, North Carolina, daughter of the late N. Edward Midgett and Mary Atkinson Midgett.

She is survived by two daughters: Mary Kathryn Lindsey (Lee) of Charleston, and Angela Tequida of Virginia Beach, VA. a son Joseph Alge (Mikah) of Houston, TX; three step- children: Thomas Alge and Kenneth Alge of Ashland, Ohio and Gale A. Fennel of Mt. Pleasant, SC, two brothers: Henry Midgett of Georgetown, LA and Spivey Midgett of Harleyville, SC; and ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
