Marvin Douglas "Doug" Bazzle, 72, of Charleston, SC, husband of Sherry Whitlock Bazzle, died Saturday, January 10, 2015. His funeral service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015, in The Church of The Good Shepherd, 1393 Miles Drive, at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Doug was born September 6, 1942 in Johns Island, SC, son of the late Herbert L. Bazzle and Minnie Craven Bazzle. He was a retired residential/commercial builder with Bazzle Construction, a member of The Church of The Good Shepherd and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years; a daughter, Sherry Ann Bazzle-Sawer and a granddaughter, Leighanna Kristine Sawer, all of Charleston; two brothers: Herbert Bazzle and Joe Bazzle, both of Johns Island; two sisters: Marthanell B. Garvin of Johns Island and Marian B. Prosser of Aynor, SC; ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by a brother, Harmon L. Bazzle.
