Marthann Elise Mathews Hutchinson

Marthann Elise Mathews Hutchinson, 75, wife of A. L. Hutchinson, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial in Christ Our King Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 am.  Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.  ARRANGEMENTS BY J. Mrs. Hutchinson was born February 21, 1936 in Charleston, SC, daughter of Frank H. Mathews and Mildred Thees Mathews.  She was a graduate of Rivers High School, attended the College of Charleston and attended Christ Our King Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, A. L.  Hutchinson, Jr.  of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Kathryn H. Disher of  Mt. Pleasant, SC and Diane M. Hutchinson of Summerville, SC; sister, Barbara M. Robbins of Charleston, SC; aunt, Elise T. Reese of Mt. Pleasant, SC and three grandchildren, Thomas P. Disher, Jr, Brianna E. Blanchard and Ali H. Blanchard and several nieces and nephews. 

The family requests that memorials may be made to the Andrew L. Hutchinson, Jr. Football Scholarship, The Citadel Brigadier Foundation, McAlister Field House, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409, The SC Raptor Center, 4872 Sewee Road, Awendaw, SC 29429 or a charity of one's choice.
