Martha Jordan Postell

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of May 1, 2011, Martha Jordan Postell, widow of the late Daniel William Postell.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Thursday, May 5, 2011 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Wednesday afternoon from 5 until 7 pm. 

Mrs. Postell was born in Charleston, South Carolina on January 15, 1929, daughter of the late Albert and Mary Platt Jordan.  She graduated from Memminger High School and attended Rice Business College.  Mrs. Postell was a retired bookkeeper with Cave Auto Body Supply Company and was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. 

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Karst of West Columbia, SC; a grandson, Dustin Karst and his wife Gina of Columbia, SC; two great grandsons, Dustin Karst, Jr. and Grant Karst; a sister, Virginia Barber of North Charleston; two brothers, William Jordan and his wife Trudy of Mt. Pleasant, John W. Jordan and his wife Desi of Charleston; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
