Martha Bailey Moore

Martha Bailey Moore, widow of Herbert L. Moore, Sr., entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of March 4, 2011.  A longtime resident of Charleston, SC. Martha was residing at Brookdale Place in Augusta, GA.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services, Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Pinecrest Baptist Church.  Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held at the Church one hour prior to the service. 

Martha was born on December 4, 1921 in Modoc, SC, the daughter of Henry William Bailey and Ethel Holson Bailey.  She was a retired Ward Clerk at Roper Hospital and was a charter member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter: Patricia Moore Dorrity (Lewis) of Greenwood, SC; one son:  Herbert L. Moore, Jr. (Kathy) of North, SC; daughter-in-law: Kyndra H. Moore of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren: Kenneth W. Dorrity (Wana), Michael S. Dorrity (Kathy), Angela D. Miller (Ted), Steven M. Dorrity (Jessie), Jeffrey C. Moore (Inna), C. Gregory Moore (Molly), Justin B. Moore (Taylor) and Alyssa J. Moore; eleven great grandchildren; one sister: W. Vivian Bailey of Augusta, GA; and one brother: Heyward H. Bailey (Mary) of Evans, GA.  She was predeceased by her son, William F. "Billy" Moore of Charleston, SC and her brother, Henry E. Bailey of Augusta, GA.
