Martha Richards Moody

Martha Richards Moody, 83, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Leo Joyce Moody, died Saturday, February 25, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 6:00 pm. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until time of the service. Burial will be in Beaufort National Cemetery on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm.

Martha was born June 18, 1933 in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of the late Ellis Leo Richards and Ruth Umphlett Richards. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mt. Pleasant Ward, as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Fowler, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her sons, Kenneth Moody (Ruann) of Dallas, TX, and Robert Moody (Jean) of Charleston, SC; her brother, David Richards of Stowe, VT; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
