Martha Lee Covington, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Lemuel Lee Covington, Jr. entered into eternal rest, Thursday, July 21, 2022. Her memorial service celebration of life will be held at the First Untied Methodist Church, 12 21st Avenue, Isle of Palms, SC 29451 at 11 AM, Saturday, August 6. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall. Dress attire for this celebration of the life memorial service and the following reception at First United Methodist Church IOP, will be casual attire.

Martha was born September 23, 1936 in Murfreesboro, TN, daughter of the late Charles Miller, Sr, and Margret Span Miller. She attended Middle Tennessee State University where she and Lee married. Together they enjoyed 65 years of marriage and traveled the world to every major continent and site during their retirement years. Martha spent most of her life as a devoted wife and homemaker and a member and soloist of the church choir for 30 years. In addition, she was President of FUMC United Methodist Women's Club and other church committees and a long-term volunteer for Meals on Wheels and other civic activities.

She is survived by her husband, Lemuel Lee; two sons; Lee Covington (wife Theresa) of North Augusta, SC and Steve Covington (wife Pam) of Colleyville, TX. She has three grandchildren, Caroline, Chase and Preston and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Choir Music Program, Meals on Wheels, or your designated charity.
