Marjorie Morrison Hay, 87, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Carroll G. Hay, Jr., entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Her Graveside Inurnment will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 in John's Island Presbyterian Churchyard, 2550 Bohicket Road at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
Marjorie was born July 1, 1932 in Bangor, Maine, daughter of the late Alden Morrison and Gladys Smith Morrison. She graduated high school in Bangor Maine and was a graduate of Roper Hospital School of Nursing. She was retired LPN and her nursing career included Roper DT, the former Hermina Traeye Nursing Home on Johns Island and Sandpiper Village in Mount Pleasant. She enjoyed reading and was a member of John's Island Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffery S. Hay (Laura) of Charlotte, NC and Peter C. Hay (Pamela) of Cottageville, SC; sister, Bunny Carney of Old Lime, CT; eight grandchildren, Logan Wagner, Sam Hay, Rachel Hay, Daniel Hay, Sarah Hay, Rebecca Hay, Christopher Hay, Katherine Hay and one great-grandson, Nathan Hay.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th Street NW, Washington, DC, 20006 .
