Marjorie Elizabeth "Beth" G. Causey

Marjorie Elizabeth "Beth" Causey, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Malcolm Lander Causey, Jr. died Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Interment is private. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel, Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 12:00 noon until time of the service.

Beth was born December 6, 1924 in West Point, Mississippi, daughter of the late Thomas Green and the late Mary Henley Green. Her numerous civic activities led to her being inducted into The Charleston Federation of Women's Clubs Hall of Fame in 1996 and honored as Woman of the Year in 1989 by The Charleston Federation of Women's Clubs. She was also a longtime member of Hibben United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Anne Pirics and her husband, Gary, of Austin, TX, Elizabeth Burkhart and her husband, Rick, of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Kathryn Hughes and her husband, Hugh, of Kingston, PA; two sons, Malcolm L. Causey, III and his wife, Chris, of Atlanta, GA and Blake Causey of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Tom Green, Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Memphis, TN and Albert Green and his wife, Billie, of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Michael Lander Pirics, Mary Beth Wixson, Margie McClendon, Alexander Burkhart, Zoya Burkhart, Rachel Causey, Thomas Hughes, Hunter Hughes, James Hughes, Lander Causey and Reagan Causey; numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
