Entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 2, 2011, Marian Jordan Spell, widow of William Brinson Spell. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 am in Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Monday between 4:00- 6:00 pm.
Marian was born January 3, 1928 in Johnston, SC, the daughter of Barnie Allen Jordan and Ida Maude Kreps Jordan. She graduated from Memminger High School, and completed business college in Columbia. She retired from Charleston Sheet Metal company as Office manager and was active in the operation in the business which was founded by her father-in-law Richard B. Spell, Sr. She was a member of Elks Lodge # 242 Does and Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Richard B. Spell, II of Mount Pleasant, SC, brother, Roy Brooke Jordan of Columbia, SC, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Tina Frances Spell.
