Marion Robert Shearouse

Marion Robert Shearouse, 85, of Charleston and Moncks Corner, South Carolina, widower of Jackie Shearouse died Thursday, August 16, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR NORTHWOODS CHAPEL at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
Marion was born December 5, 1926 in Meldrim, Georgia, son of the late Martin Shearouse and the late Myrtie Lightsey . He was an electrician with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Marion was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, and a member of the Shriner's Road Runners. Marion loved gardening and raising his animals.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Shearouse (Judy) of Savannah, GA, Ronald P. Shearouse of Moncks Corner, SC, and Ray B. Mabry of Holly Hill, SC; daughter, Joyce Moser of North Charleston, SC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his brother, Perry T Shearouse of Brooksville, FL.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Johns Bethel Baptist Church, 136 Saint Johns Baptist Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
