Marion Leonard Richardson

Marion Leonard Richardson, Jr., 86, of Awendaw, South Carolina, husband of Dorothy Prince Richardson entered into eternal rest at home Saturday, November 23, 2013. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Marion was born March 14, 1927 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Marion Leonard Richardson, Sr. and the late Dora Beach Richardson Hutson. He was a retired Planner and Estimator at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. A veteran of the US Army during World War II, Marion was a life member of the Etiwan Masonic Lodge and a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Prince Richardson; his sons, Marion Leonard "Lennie" Richardson III of Charlotte, NC and Gary Scott Richardson and his wife, Rhonda of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his grandsons, Philip and Cam; and his granddaughters, Melissa and Sarah.

Memorials may be made in Marion's memory to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 302 Hibben Street, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
