Marilyn June Meeks

Marilyn June Kea Meeks, widow of Charles Allen Meeks, Sr. of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 22, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, April 25, 2013 in the First Assembly of God, 2957 Savannah Highway, Charleston SC. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

June was the daughter of Wilbur West Kea and Mildred Newsome Kea. She was born in Soperton, GA and attended the Georgia College for Women. June was a homemaker and member of First Assembly of God, The O.E.S. - North Charleston Chapter, a volunteer at the VA Hospital and Red Cross and former Den Mother for Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sheryl Meeks Johnson of Ravenel and Patricia Carol Meeks (Donald) of Charleston and one son, Charles Allen Meeks, Jr. (Vickie) of Ravenel; two sisters, Carol Carter Kea, of Charleston and Donna Kea Shurling of Soperton, GA; three grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson Crosby, Karen Johnson and Andrew Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Caden, Colton, Jackson and Jorja. She was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Johnson.
