Marijke F. Mayfield

Marijke F. Mayfield, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 15, 2022. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
 
Marijke was born December 12, 1939, in Willemstad, Curaçao, daughter of the late Theodore de Boer and the late Sybil Brolman de Boer, both of Holland. She was a stewardess for TWA before working as a transcriptionist at Roper Hospital, where she retired after 27 years.  She will be remembered for her hard work, sharing her travel stories, and the way she loved her family
 
She is survived by her children, son, Erick Boyance of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughter, Cybill Besse of Savannah, GA; her three granddaughters, Madeleine, Cameran, and Emma-Rose; and her sisters Lineke Bourat and Thea de Boer. She  was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Henk de Boer and her husband, Donald E. Mayfield.
