Marie Driver Meitzler

 Marie Driver Meitzler, widow of George "G.J." Meitzler, Jr. went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, March 30, 2011   Residence, North Charleston, South Carolina.  Family and friends of Mrs. Meitzler are invited to attend her funeral service in Calvary Lutheran Church, Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation , 676 Wando Park Blvd, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.

Born April 22, 1926 in Wilson, NC, Marie was the daughter of Nathan Driver and Addie T. Driver Martin.  She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, was very active and faithfully participated in numerous prayer groups with her many Christian friends and fellow prayer warriors. She touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Cofield and her husband Raymond , a son: Richard A. Meitzler and his wife Patty, whom was fondly referred to as her "Earth Angel", several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mrs. Meitzler was preceded in death by a son, George J. Meitzler, III and a daughter, Darlene"Dena" Sturgill.
