Marianne Marta Tuza

Marianne Marta Tuza, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Conrad Joseph Tuza, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 13, 2024.Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 in Stella Maris, 1204 Middle St., Sullivan's Island, at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a reception in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. Interment will be private.

Marianne was born on April 30, 1936 in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, to Theodore and Celestine Skibinski Angradi. After graduating from Newport Township High School, she attended Bloomsburg State College in Pennsylvania, where she received her degree in Elementary Education in 1958. She and her husband traveled around the world, where Marianne taught in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island, Virginia, Japan, South Carolina at Blessed Sacrament and ended her teaching career following 14 years at Mason Preparatory School. After retirement, she went on to be the Executive Director for the Rosemary Inc. thrift store in Charleston benefiting Children with cancer for 19 years. Conrad and Marianne lived on Johns Island for over 30 years prior to moving to Mount Pleasant in 2020. During her over 40 years in the Charleston area, Marianne touched the lives of many children around the world. 

In addition to her husband of Conrad of 65 years, she is survived by daughter, Karin Tuza Garner and Michael Huffman of Virginia Beach,VA; her son Mark and Sherry of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Madisen Garner and Makenzie Tuza; great grandchild, Stevie Sahnger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Connor Tuza and brother, Theodore Angradi.
