Marianne Lynch

Marianne Lynch of Mount Pleasant, SC (formerly of Middletown, RI) died September 14, 2024, East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was born June 18,1952 to the late James F. Lynch (Chief USN/RET) and the late Grace (Tierney) Lynch.

Marianne graduated from Saint Catherine's Academy, Newport, RI and received her teaching degree at Roger Williams College, Bristol, RI. She taught school in the South Carolina school district for over 28 years. After retiring from teaching, she became a Tour Guide for the Preservation Society of Charleston. Marianne was predeceased by her younger brother LTC Charles Lynch (USA/RET). 

Marianne is survived by her brother, James Lynch (USN) (Sarah); sister-in-law Paula Lynch; Nieces and nephews: Colby Lynch, Shannon Lynch, Stacy Lynch, Tabitha (Bret), Kelley Lynch-Lord (Todd), Patrick Lynch (Samantha); Her cousins Thomas (Nancy) Tierney and Lawrence Tierney, several great-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Saint Columba's Catholic Cemetery, Middletown, RI at a later date.

Donations in memory of Marianne, may be sent to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
