Marianne Rhodes Lybrand

July 17, 1944 — March 26, 2011

Marianne Rhodes Lybrand, 66, wife of Curtis W. Lybrand, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC, formerly of James Island, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Medical University of South Carolina after a brief illness.  The family will receive friends at J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel, Monday, March 28, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be in Stuhr's Mt. Pleasant Chapel at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. 


Marianne was born July 17, 1944 in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Ernest Chason Rhodes and Mary Butler Rhodes.  She graduated from Gainesville High School in Gainesville, FL in 1962.  She attended the University of Florida.  Marianne was a retired employee of the American Cancer Society. 


 She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Curtis W. Lybrand, Jr.; son, J. Robert Moore II and his wife Amanda of Columbia, SC; daughter, Kristy Moore Lewis and her husband Paul of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister, Camille Rhodes Gruman and her husband William of Hickory, NC; brother, Thomas Chason Rhodes of Orlando, FL; granddaughter, Alison Nicole Moore; grandson, Benjamin Chason Lewis; nephew, Michael Charles Gruman and niece, Kimberly Gruman Burchfield.  Marianne was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Alexander Lewis.  The family has requested that Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC  29406
