Maria Graciela Urrutia

Maria Graciela Urrutia, 84, of Daniel Island, South Carolina, wife of the late Carlos Arturo Urrutia entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 6, 2021. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church (Church of the Holy Cross), Daniel Island, SC. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 10, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Maria was born June 17, 1936 in Sonsonate El Salvador to the late Telesforo Isabel Angel and Aurea Isabel Montalvo de Angel. She spent her life devoted to her family and Catholic faith. She was known as a kind, strong, loving, selfless person who always sacrificed for others. Her courage as a young adult to study abroad opened opportunities for her siblings to follow in her footsteps and achieve success.

Maria is survived by her children, Carl Urrutia (Bernie), Al Urrutia (Anna), Maria Urrutia, and Manny Urrutia (Kim); sisters, Aurea Violeta Mackey (Glenn) and Carmen Leticia Guardia (Luis); brother, Edgardo Antonio Angel (Sarah); grandchildren, Alex Urrutia, Evan Urrutia, Isabella Urrutia, Manuel Fernandez, Maria Isabel Lee, Maria Alejandra Lee, Charlie Urrutia, Tommy Urrutia, and Katie Urrutia; and her nephews, nieces and other family. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
