Maria Lourdes Silver Ballard, 47, of Goose Creek, SC, died Monday, July 24, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel.

Maria was born May 26, 1970 in Los Mochis, Mexico, daughter of Oscar and Maria Sanchez. She was a nurse and translator at MUSC, and also worked at Health First. Maria was a member of Sovereign Grace Church of the Lowcountry.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Ken Ballard of Goose Creek, SC; son, Kevin A. Silver of Columbia, SC; two daughters, Andrea Silver and Ava Sophia Ballard of Goose Creek; parents, Oscar and Maria Sanchez all of Goose Creek, SC; brother, Oscar Sanchez (Maria) of North Charleston, SC; grandson, Aiden Norman Brady of Goose Creek, SC.
