Maria Consuelo Harl

Maria Consuelo Harl "Ageta", 81, of North Charleston, SC, wife of Donald Ross Harl died Friday, March 9, 2018. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, 6650 Dorchester Road at 8:30 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Consuelo was born April 29, 1936 in Madrid, Spain, daughter of the late Pedro Martinez and the late Lucia del Rio Martinez. She loved to paint, play the flamenco guitar, travel and weekly luncheons with friends. She belonged to the Charleston Artists' Guild. Consuelo was very dedicated to her family. She loved spending her time with them and truly enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Maria Dolores Daylami (Benny) of North Charleston, SC and Belinda Ann Hestir of Charleston, SC; two sons, Edward Steven Harl of Charleston, SC and Michael William Harl (Melissa) of Richmond, VA; grandchildren: Matthew, Taylor, Nicholas and Christopher; great-grandson, Luke; brother, Pedro Martinez of Spain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ross Harl.
