Marguerite Tidmore Woods, wife of Wyman Jean Woods, died April 13, 2012 at her residence on Johns Island, SC. Born October 24, 1925 in Gadsden, Alabama, the daughter of Richard E. Tidmore and Jimmie Clydell Mooney, she moved to Charleston as a young girl and graduated from North Charleston High School. She married on September 20, 1947 and raised her family on Johns Island. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Wyman Jean Woods, son Wyman Jean Woods, Jr. (LaDawn) of Moncks Corner and their children: Bryan Darrell Woods and Jason Shane Woods both of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Natalie Woods Breeden (Jimmy) of Dublin, VA; son Michael Lee Woods and his children: Wendy Woods Thomas (Junior) of Charleston, Michael Lee Woods, Jr. (Monica) of Guyton, GA, Gerald Vance Woods, Amber Marie Woods and Benjamin Jacob Woods all of Lincolnton, GA; son Richard Alan Woods of Johns Island; her sister, Ann Weatherford of North Charleston, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 16, 2012 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel followed by a graveside service at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
