Margie Ruth Craven

Margie Ruth Horne Craven, 77, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of David Larue Craven, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 26, 2013. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 29, 2013, in Divine Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where a Rosary Service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m.

Margie was born June 17, 1936 in Murfreesboro TN, daughter of Johann Herman Steiger and Esther Snodgrass Steiger. She was employed by Divine Redeemer Catholic School and served as the Director of Extended School Programs.

She is survived by her two daughters; Deborah C. Tuten and Melissa R Craven, both of Hanahan, SC; two sons David LaRue Craven, II of North Charleston, SC and Stephen K. Craven and his wife Janice, of Goose Creek, SC; sister Kaye Steiger Murrow of North Charleston, SC; two granddaughters Heather McKenzie Sebring and Camela Denise Craven, both of Hanahan, SC; three great-granddaughters Julianna, Jillan and Jeslynn. In addition, there are many family members in Florida.
