Margaret B. Williams, 86, of Charleston, SC went to be with her heavenly Father on the morning of December 14, 2010 after many years of illness.

Ms. Williams was a homemaker and had a passion for animals of all kinds to include strays.  It was not unusual for her to take in a Mama Kitty and end up raising a litter, naming and feeding them all.  She leaves behind her beloved Noel, an eleven year old Miniature Pincher.  Selected by Ms. Williams prior to her death, Noel resides with family members in a safe and loving home.  When told that Noel was spoiled rotten, Ms. Williams stated, "She is supposed to be that way."

She loved to go to new places and enjoyed the cuisine. As an international traveler, she and her husband traveled often with family.

She was born in Charleston to the parents of the late Frank Rufus and Julia Magwood Beane Tant and attended Charleston Public Schools.  She and Norwood H. Williams Jr., a dedicated husband, were married forty-four years.  Pre-deceased siblings and their spouses are Virginia Christen (Pat), Mary "Peggy" Lewis (Noopie), Mildred "Rosie" Cotner (Eddie), and Arthur Beane (Evelyn).  She was the last of her four siblings.

Surviving relatives are her son, Harold E. Segrest Jr. (Erlinda); daughter, Linda Saylor Lankosz (Romek); granddaughters, Tracy A. Murray (Freddie) and Kimberley L. Thompkins (Ronnie); great grandchildren, Trenton C. Murray, William "Shane" Thompkins, Alyssa A. Thompkins, and Joshua "JT" Thompkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Williams was Pentecostal, International Church of God (formerly West Ashley Church of God), and loved the Lord.  She often stated, "I am in Him, and He is in me.  He is my Friend, Lord, and Savior."

Memorials may be made to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, James Island, SC 29412.
