Margaret McKay Weber

Margaret McKay Yonce Weber, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Franke Home under Hospice Care. The relatives and friends of Margaret Weber are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 8, 2011 in The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist at 10:00 am. Final Prayers of Commendation and Farewell will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm.

Mrs. Weber was born on January 28, 1916 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Lawrence McKay and Florence Worrell McKay. She graduated from Memminger High School, Class of 1934 and was retired from South Carolina National Bank.

She is survived by her two daughters, Margaret Y. (Peggy) Hull and her husband, Stewart, of Hilton Head, SC and Elizabeth P. Hyland and her husband, Steve, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one son, Leon Yonce, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Charleston, SC; one step-daughter, Mary W. Druland and her husband, Roy, of Tennessee; two granddaughters and five grandsons and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leon L. Yonce, Sr. and Fred W. Weber and her sister, Elizabeth M. Schwerin.
