Margaret du Pont Waters

Margaret Irene du Pont Waters, widow of Charles Howle Waters, formerly of Florence and of Charleston, SC, passed away on the morning of November 17, 2011. A private burial will be held in Wilmington, DE. Mrs. Waters was born June 5, 1935 in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Eugene du Pont, III and Margaret Chapman Peyton. She was a long time member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Florence, SC.

She is survived by two sons: John du Pont Waters (Barbara) and David Bagby Waters; one daughter: Virginia Waters Reynolds; four grandsons: Richard Hamilton Reynolds, Jr., Charles Banks Reynolds, Benjamin Chapman Waters, and Brian Christopher Waters; three sisters: Ethel Kinsella, Daphne Vaughan, and Leslie Myrin; a half sister, Genette Lee Mc Shane and a half brother, Eugene du Pont, IV. She was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Laulie Howle Waters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Nemours Wildlife Foundation, 161 Nemours Plantation Road, Yemassee, SC 29945.
