Margaret "Jean" Thomas, 75 years old, passed away on May 8, 2011.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Royce William Thomas.

 

She is survived by her sister, Rachel M. Speegle, Thomasville, GA; son, James F. Howell (Ellen), St. Pauls, NC; daughter, Susan K. Berry (David), Charleston, SC; two grandsons: Brian J. Howell (GA) and Adam P. Howell (MD); two granddaughters: Clara M. Jamison (AL) and Abigail L. Duran (SC); and 7 great-grand-children.

Born in Honolulu, HI, she was the daughter of the late Antone Paul Sebastian and Constance Leandro. She lived most of her adult life in Alabama. Jean recently moved from Montgomery AL to Charleston SC in 2010 to live near her daughter. She was a member of Vaughn Forest Baptist Church in Montgomery and Charleston Baptist Church in West Ashley.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
