Margaret Ariel Thigpen

Margaret Ariel Thigpen, 77, of Goose Creek, SC, wife of Vadris Lee Thigpen entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 5, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in the Northwood Baptist Church, 2200 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC at 1:00 pm. Entombment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston.

Mrs. Thigpen was born October 29, 1935 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of the late Martin Rush Grooms and the late Vivian Easterling Rush Grooms. She was a homemaker and member of Northwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Vadris Lee Thigpen of Goose Creek, SC; three daughters, Deborah Ann Coraine (Bob) of Goose Creek, Sandra Arleen Ah-Low (Mark) of Jacksonville, FL and Tammy Lynn Rentz (Jimmy) of Summerville; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; one aunt, Eunice Ragland of Charleston, SC.
