Margaret Glidewell Pulliam, 89, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Norman Pulliam entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 5, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 in St. John's Parish Church, Johns Island at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. John's Parish Churchyard. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Margaret was born November 30, 1927, the only child of the late Roy Cliff and Sally Glidewell. The Charleston Lowcountry has been her home since 1959. Margaret was an artist who loved painting Lowcountry scenes in both watercolors and oils. She was also an avid flower gardener and a member of St. John's Parish Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Van Houten and her husband Mark of Johns Island, SC; three grandchildren, David Van Houten and his wife Beth of Hanahan, SC, Abby Earle and her husband David of Paris, TN, and Joseph Van Houten of Johns Island, SC; six great-grandchildren and one on the way.
