Margaret A. Sarvis McCutcheon Porter, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Joseph Bryan Porter entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 4, 2023. Her Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Holy Cross Cemetery 604 Fort Johnson Rd, Charleston, SC 29412 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.

Margaret was born January 12, 1947 in Kingstree, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Leon (Buddy) Sarvis Sr. and the late Jeanette Essler Sarvis. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, gathering oysters and shrimping with Bryan, the love of her life. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by son, Charles David McCutcheon (Lisa) of Johns Island, SC; daughter, Kimberley M. Boyer (Lester) of Charleston, SC; brother, James Allen Sarvis (Danice) of Murchinson, TX; two step daughters, Lynn P. Veal of Liberty, SC and Jenny P. Garvin of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; In addition to her husband Joseph of 31 1/2 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by brother William Leon (Billy) Sarvis Jr.
