Margaret Demaris Newcomb

Margaret Demaris Rudd Newcomb, 91, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Wesley D. Newcomb entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road . Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will begin receiving friends at 11:30 am Friday in Stuhr's North Area Chapel. Margaret was born October 26, 1921 in Cross, SC, the daughter of the late Daniel H. Rudd and Maude Clarke Rudd. She retired after 21 years as a proofreader for BellSouth and was a member of Wando Woods Baptist Church.She is survived by her sons, John Douglas Newcomb and Wesley D. Newcomb, Jr. and his wife Shirley, daughter, Catherine Broom and her husband Ronnie, sister, Harriett Dorman and her husband Hubert and sister-in-law, Octavia Rudd, who was loved as a sister; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Newcomb was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Icard and brothers: D.H. Rudd, Jr. and M.F. Rudd.
