Entered into eternal rest on December 19, 2011 in Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina and more recently Biscayne Park, Florida, widow of Samuel Whiting Marshall. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Old St. Andrews Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Churchyard Mausoleum. Mrs. Marshall was born on November 4, 1941 in Moncks Corner, SC, daughter of the late Marcus Truman Smith and Caroline Rudloff Smith. She was a graduate of James Island High School and was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her two sons, Samuel W. Marshall, II and wife (Liefje) of Ft. Myers, FL, Richard M. Marshall and wife (Wendy) of Pembroke Pines, FL; two brothers, Charles R. Smith and William T. Smith both of Charleston; and four grandchildren, Samuel W. Marshall, III, Caroline Marshall, Elise Marshall, and Camille Marshall.
