Margaret was born January 27, 1926 in Sanford, Florida, daughter of the late Bishop Owens and Viola Grooms Owens. Her life was so full of love and people. Certainly, Margaret was going to be involved in everything and miss no opportunities. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church which her son founded and for many years sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, hosted dinner, performed in plays, and held many leadership positions. Margaret was a proud member of the Pearl Girls who loved and supported each other, traveled any chance they had, enjoyed late night games and shopped until they dropped. She was the biggest supporter of QVC as the family continues to open boxes. She was also an avid bowler for 20+ years. Most importantly her greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She was so proud of every child, grandchild, great-grandchild and great-great-grandchild. She was known to always have a cookie and a popsicle; everyone knew where the cookie jar was located. Margaret will be remembered as kind, generous, witty, elegant, loving, and most importantly a faithful servant. Mom/Mama -You are our sunshine!
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Crosby Aldret; three sons, Steve Crosby, Ernie (Jan) Crosby, Jerry (Jacqui) Crosby. She has an extensive family including 9 grandchildren; Shelly Shallo (Jerry), Lisa Steinbronn (Kenny), Misty Crosby, Lindsey Sonnefeld (Aaron), Amber Davis (Zach), Summer Hennessy (Stephen), Dustin Crosby (Kayte), Ashley (Justin) and John (Amanda). 25 Great-grandchildren; Richard (Brittany), West (Abby), Terry (Kate), Emily, Julia, MaKenzie, Maggie, Hunter, Cade, Mya, Jude, Michaiah, Eli, Lucas, Zachary, Ayden, Augustine, Iris, Jack, Grame, Hunter, Bella, Abbie, Colton and Macie.
