Margaret H. Collins

Margaret Holder Collins, 95, widow of the late Joseph Ernest Collins, of James Island, SC passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010. The relatives and friends of Margaret Collins are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Sunday, June 27, 2010, in Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at J.HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Saturday, June 26, 2010, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Collins was born September 29, 1914, in Greensboro, NC, daughter of the late Clement Holder and Cora Belle Terrell Holder. She retired from the American Tobacco Company and was a homemaker. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Rice of Charleston; three grandchildren, William Collins and his wife, Tracie of Mt. Pleasant, SC, John Collins and his wife, Michele of Springdale, AR, and Odette Richey of James Island, SC; and three great grandchildren, Blake Collins, Tyler Collins and Sarah Collins. She was preceded in death by her only son, William E. Collins. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Lung Association in South Carolina, 44-A Markfield Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
