Margaret June Anderson

Margaret June Anderson, 91, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Raymond (Andy) Anderson died Monday, August 20, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in J. Henry Stuhr North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR NORTH AREA CHAPEL.

Margaret was born August 26, 1920 in Scranton, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Kathleen M. McFadyen. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and hunting gems in the mountain hills of North Carolina. She was a very feisty, strong willed woman and if you ever met her you would never forget her. She is survived by her husband of 60 years; daughter, Vee Vandegrift of Summerville, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Roy (Carol) Vandegrift, III of Saluda, SC, and son, Raymond H. Anderson Jr. of North Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Janet (James) Sample of Saluda, SC; granddaughter, Dorothy (Allen) Perry of Saluda, SC; grandson, Roy (Eve) Vandegrift, IV of Saluda, SC; ten great grandchildren, Rachel, Kristen, Alyssa, Heather, Amanda, Katie, Joshua, Benjamin, Cullen, and Theresa all of Saluda, SC; great great grandchild, Brianna of Saluda, SC.
