Maree Eason Mcconnell

Maree Eason McConnell, widow of John McConnell entered into eternal rest on Wednesday evening, August 24, 2011.  Residence, Charleston, SC.   The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Sunday, August 28, 2011, at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 3 pm.  Committal services will be conducted at a later time.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Sunday from 2 pm until the time of service.

Born in Homestead, Florida on May 21, 1933, Maree was the daughter of the late Moses and Lois Lair Eason.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and delivered The Post and Courier newspapers for 35 years, first on Johns and Wadmalaw Islands, then around Charles Towne Landing in West Ashley.  Maree enjoyed learning and had earned 5 degrees and was working on her 6^th. 

She is survived by a daughter, Shannon McConnell of Charleston; four sons, Jack McConnell of Orangeburg, Tim McConnell and Bryan McConnell both of James Island, Bob McConnell of Charleston; two brothers, Donald Eason of North Charleston and Jimmy Eason of Bonneau Beach, SC; two sisters, Lois Jeanette Lawrimore of Pendleton, SC and Loree Eason Linde of Orlando, FL.  Maree is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Brian McConnell, Melissa McConnell, Ricky Terry, Barbara Terry, Nicholas Allen, Lydia McConnell, Shelby McConnell, John McConnell III, Diana McConnell; and five great grandchildren.
