Marceline "Joyce" LaRoche Hilton, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of William D. Hilton, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 712 Wappoo Road at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Christ St. Paul's Parish Churchyard, Yonges Island. The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2016 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Joyce was born May 17, 1933 on Yonges Island, South Carolina, daughter of the late Archibald David Duncan and Elizabeth Wilson Duncan. She was a past president of Lions Auxiliary, Past president of Charlestowne Estates Garden Club and former kindergarten teacher at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. As a devoted wife, she attended many conventions and business functions supporting her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William D. Hilton of Charleston, SC,2 daughters, Rebecca H. Mitchell (Steve) of Charleston, SC, and Lori Elizabeth H. Browne (Lee) of Yonges Island, SC; 1 daughter in law, Melanie Hilton; 2 brothers, Archibald David Duncan Jr. of Charleston, SC, and John Donald Duncan of Savannah, GA; 6 grandchildren, Bryan Mitchell, Liz Mitchell, Taylor Broderick, Katherine Broderick, William Hilton III, Matthew Hilton; 1 great grandchild, Evelyn Hilton.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son, William D. Hilton, Jr.
