Mamie Stevens Housand

Mamie Stevens Housand, 84, of Summerville, SC, wife of the late J.C. Housand died Friday, December 5, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 8, 2014 in the Crowfield Baptist Church, 100 Hunters Lane at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.

Mamie was born September 28, 1930 in Loris, SC, daughter of the late Joseph Stevens and the late Dora Martin Stevens. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, David (Tina) Housand of Ladson, Ken (Wanda) Housand of Summerville; daughter, Linda Harper of Ladson; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Herrin; brothers, Rob, Rollie, Harvey, H.L., Luther, Cliff, Marvin and Benjamin "Ben" Stevens; sisters, Emma Stevens, Dalma Spivey, Myrtis Ray and Sallie Hardee. Also a son-in law, Jimmy Harper and a great-granddaughter, Brooke Harper.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Crowfield Baptist Church, 100 Hunters Lane, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
