Mainnon Gerald Cole, 69, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Debbie Cole died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at a local hospital. His funeral service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the Charleston Calvary Church of The Nazarene, 541 Red Bank Road, Goose Creek, SC at 3:30 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment, with military honors, will be held at Florence National Cemetery at a date and time to be announced. Mainnon was born on September 13, 1948, in Carrollton, GA, son of the late Raymond and Avis Cole. He graduated from Carrollton High School and Carrollton Tech with an auto mechanic degree. Mainnon was a proud Army veteran who served for three years in Vietnam. He was a faithful member of Charleston Calvary Church of The Nazarene. Mainnon was a devoted husband married for 44 years and a loving father. He was a dedicated Pep Boys employee for 18 years and loved his fellow co-workers. Mainnon enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and sports. His favorite teams were Atlanta Braves, Clemson Baseball and the Carolina Panthers.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, Kevin of Goose Creek, SC; sisters: Margarette Strickland of Bremen, GA, Rebecca Capes of Carrollton, GA and Imagene Dodd of Chester, VA; nine nephews; six nieces; and numerous great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Langford.
