Magellan R. Brunson, 82, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Norma Brunson entered into eternal rest Friday, September 6, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in the Northwood Church, 2600 North Main Street, Summerville, at 11:00 am. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC.

Mr. Brunson was born October 21, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Marion Brunson and Billie Mae Steele. He was the owner of Brunson Oil Company.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Brunson; two sons, Stephen B. Brunson (Denese) of Summerville SC and Alan Brunson (Barbara) of Wallace NC; three sisters, Mary Brinson (Tom) of Charleston SC, Roberta Combs of Hanahan and Patricia Brunson of Charleston SC; two brothers, Richard Brunson (Jo) of Orlando, FL and Robert Brunson (Kay) of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
