Magdeline "Maggie" McDuffie

Magdeline Kyros McDuffie, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 11, 2013. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Pinecrest Baptist Church, 1285 Ashley Hall Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Magdeline was born July 2, 1930 in Gary, Indiana, daughter of the late Paul Kyros and Krina Kyros. Maggie was much loved and will be greatly missed by all. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, and retired from the Kingsbay Submarine Base, where she served as comptroller. Maggie was a loving mother, grandmother, whom treasured her family. She is survived by her two sons, Alfred E. Smith, Jr. (Beth) of Charleston, SC, and Joel McDuffie, Jr. (Laurie) of Niceville, Fl; two daughters, Vicki Nixon of Brunswick, GA, and Becky Kyros of Gainesville, GA; sister, Arty Taseff of Pasadena, CA; 5 grandchildren, April, Tiffany, Joel "Bubby", Farrah, and Spencer; and a great-grandchild, Aria.
