Mae Jenkins Fisher, 91, of North Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel.

Mae was born June 18, 1926 in Zeigler, Illinois, daughter of the late Samuel Jenkins and the late Ethel Taitt Fisher. She was a retired Civil Service Supply Foreman and a member of Midland Park United Methodist Church. Mae was a volunteer with AARP Tax Aide for 24 years.

She is survived by her son, Terry Ray Sheppard of West Frankfort, IL; two grandchildren, Illissa Sweat DuPont of North Charleston, SC and Darrin Sheppard of Harrison, IL; three great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four children: Larry Gene Sheppard, Daniel Lee Sheppard, Kathie Sue Sheppard and Terry Ray Sheppard.
