Entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 11, 2011, Mae Gilmont Crosby, widow of Ernest George Crosby, Jr. Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at the graveside in Beaufort National Cemetery, Monday, May 16, 2011 at one o'clock.
Mrs. Crosby was born September 1, 1922 in Palmer, Nebraska, the daughter of Lafayette Gilmont and Irene Wegnor Gilmont. She served with the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was a retired computer programmer with the Charleston Naval Supply Center.
She is survived by her son: Ernest George Crosby, III of James Island, SC; her daughter: Kathlene Mikell of Charleston, SC; four grandsons: David Crosby of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Daniel Mikell of Charleston, SC, Jonathan Crosby of Charleston, SC and Joseph Crosby of Summerville, SC; one granddaughter: Rebecca M. McKee of Charleston, SC; seven great grandchildren.
