Mable Wilson Gilbert

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of November 24, 2010.  Mable Wilson Gilbert, widow of Robertson Lee Gilbert, Jr.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services November 29, 2010 in Wando Woods Baptist Church at 1 p.m.  Interment, Carolina Memorial Park.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Sunday between 2 and 5 p.m. where an Eastern Star service will be held at 4:30 p.m.

Mable was born February 19, 1921 in Brooklet, GA, the daughter of James Robert Wilson and Annie Oglesby Wilson Pike.  She graduated from Memminger High School.  She was a member of Wando Woods Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Jessie Belle Shonk Chapter.

She is survived by two sons, R. L. "Skip" Gilbert, III and his wife Francis of Pikeville, KY, E. Mark Gilbert of Hanahan, SC; two grandsons, Matthew Lee Gilbert, Robertson Lee Gilbert, IV; one sister, Bette Jane Henslee and her husband Claude of Charleston, SC and a half-sister, Janet Obermeit.
