Lynn Gillispie Smallwood

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 10, 2012, Lynn Gillispie Smallwood 86, widower of Margaret Smallwood. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of the former are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in J.HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Mr. Smallwood was born December 18, 1925 in St. Angelo, Texas. He was the son of the late John Smallwood, and the late Kate Cate. Lynn retired from the USNavy as a FT1, and was a member of the Thornback Submarine Association and the NRA.
Survivors include two sons, John David Smallwood of Cottageville, SC and James Lloyd Smallwood of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Hailey Ceann Smallwood, Harrison Taylor Smallwood, and Ethan Lane Smallwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Essex Village Church of Christ, 736 Savage Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
