Lurie Ette Baldwin Liger, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of William Marshall Liger entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside in the Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azaela Drive Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Mrs. Liger was born December 23, 1935 in Edisto Island, South Carolina, daughter of Gilbert B. Baldwin and Wilhelmina Cordray Baldwin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston. She graduated from Columbia College and retired as a Registered Nurse with the Medical University Hospital.
She is survived by her two sons: Gilbert Randall Liger of Charleston, SC and William Marshall Liger (Theresa) of St. Marys, GA.; three grandchildren: William Marshall liger, III, Robert Nicholas Liger and Stacy Lauren Liger; one brother: Franklin Joseph Baldwin of Charleston, SC and two sisters: Jean Baldwin McKnight of St. Simons, GA and Gayle Cordray Smith of Charleston, SC.
