Lurae Murray Hammond

 Entered into eternal rest on the morning of September 16, 2010, Rae Murray Hammond, wife of Robert N. Hammond, III.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hammond, III are invited to attend her funeral services at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Saturday morning, September 18, 2010, at eleven o'clock.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL this Friday evening from six until eight o'clock.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Drive, Charleston, SC 29407 and/or American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Mrs. Hammond was born on July 20, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Alvin E. Murray and Sophie Gruber Murray.  She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and was a homemaker. 

Surviving are her husband Bob of Charleston; two daughters, Michelle Kenney and her husband Jeff of Summerville and Amy Hammond Berman and her husband Roger of Charleston; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, and Grace.
