Lugene Walters

Lugene "Jean" Walters, 80, of The Canterbury House, wife of the late Richard Walters, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, in Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of "Jean" Walters are invited to attend her funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10 am.  Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 20, 2011 between 6 and 8pm. 

Born October 13, 1931 in Orangeburg, SC, she was one of seven children of Robert C. Driggers and Edith Weatherford Driggers.  Jean was the proud mother of seven children, Bruce Geiger of TX, Joseph Geiger of NY, Robert Geiger of OH, Charles Geiger of NY, Pamela Van Dyke of TX, and Vanessa Hill of Summerville, SC; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five brothers: Ernie, Edward, Ronald, Curtis, and Herman Driggers, and sister Dorothy Beach. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Walters and her son, Thomas Van Dyke. Jean was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. She was a real firecracker!
