Lucy Anne Burns Kreischer

Lucy Burns Kreischer, 89, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Charles F. Kreischer died Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Her graveside service will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.

Lucy was born January 12, 1929 in Honolulu, Hawaii, daughter of the late John Robert Burns and the late Lucy Caroline Poulnot Burns. She graduated from Ashley Hall, class of 1946. Lucy was a homemaker, den mother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at horse shows and Sailing Regattas.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Kern of Johns Island, SC currently teaching in Taiwan, Lucy M. Duncan of Aiken, SC; son, Robert F. Duncan, III of Murrells Inlet, SC; in-laws, Trish McNally Duncan (Robert Sr.) and Michael Smallwood (Lucy): grandchildren, JJ Kern, Caroline Hosey, Robert F.M. Duncan XV, Lyndsey R. Wheeler and Chelsea N. Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomson, husband, George J. Porter, husband, Charles F. Kreischer, daughter, Margaret Alexander Duncan Hosey and son, John Burns Duncan.
